Red dot & Taiwan Design Center signs Congress MOU

Taipei, Taiwan / 04.27.2010

On April 26, President of red dot award, Prof. Dr. Peter Zec signed memorandum of understanding with deputy CEO of Taiwan Design Center, Michael T.L. Lin, to become one of the global partners of 2011 IDA Congress.  Such a cooperation between the two organizations once again invites the attention of design communities worldwide. With its prestige and extensive network, red dot is an ideal partner for the much anticipated event.

This is also one step forward for Taiwanese designs to connect with European designs, explains Connie Chang from Taiwan’s Industrial Development Bureau under the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Not that there has been little connection. Dr. Peter Zec acknowledged that this year, Taiwan alone had sixty-eight products that received the red dot award, representing an “absolutely competitive” creative community not to be neglected.

In the name of the Congress, as Taiwan continues to reach out, countries and global organizations also connects with each other for the upcoming feast of design.
