第二年度的Mid-Riff Event(2nd annual Mid Riff microhood party)在城中心舉辦，所以我又來到了六街(6th St.) 與市場街(Market St.)的交叉口。活動只有兩個小時，晚間六至八時，範圍散落在各個店家。 六街與市場街的交叉地雖屬於SOMA區，但緊鄰神奇的田德隆區(Tenderloin)，此區在十年前就開始規劃打造，直到今年才開始漸漸小有起色。停好車後，從六街中段往活動目的地前進時我似乎感受到有種生命威脅的壓力逼近，街上隨時可嗅到排泄物的味道以及那蠢蠢欲動的「各式交易」，許多接近流浪漢樣貌的人駐足在路上，以游擊移動的方式在算計著他們流逝的時間，這是這區在這座城市裡獨有的生活方式。
